Spreading Warmth and Smiles: Our Coats for Kids Giveaway 2023

This winter, our community came together in an incredible display of kindness and generosity for our annual Coats for Kids giveaway. The events, held in October and November, aimed to ensure that every child in need had access to a warm coat during the colder months.

With the unwavering support of our dedicated volunteers and the overwhelming contributions from our compassionate donors, we were able to provide over 800 coats to children at LP Brown, Hansen, Garfield, Michael T Simmons, and Peter G. Schmidt Elementary Schools. Each coat given away wasn’t just a piece of clothing; it was a symbol of warmth, care, and hope for a brighter future.

The smiles on the faces of the children as they picked out their coats were priceless. Their excitement and gratitude filled the air, reminding us of the immense impact even a small act of kindness can have on someone's life.

Through the collective efforts of our community, we were able to ensure that these children could step out into the chilly weather feeling protected and confident. It’s moments like these that reaffirm the power of unity and compassion.
