Who We Are

Over a decade ago, the Tumwater Firefighters’ Union had a simple idea: provide children in our community with warm, American-made coats. What began as a small gesture quickly grew into a meaningful symbol of hope for families facing difficult times. Seeing the impact of this work inspired firefighters from multiple agencies to come together in 2021 and establish a local nonprofit dedicated to supporting children and families in our community.

We began with programs such as Coats for Kids and school pantries, providing essential resources to students and families throughout our community. With the generosity of local sponsors, donors, businesses, and community partners, our vision has continued to grow. Today, our presence in local schools and our fundraising efforts have expanded our reach and connected us with countless people who share our commitment to helping others.

As we look to the future, we are excited to expand our core programs into neighboring schools while continuing to find new ways to support children and families in need. At the heart of everything we do is a commitment to belonging, collaboration, communication, trust, respect, purpose, integrity, accountability, compassion, and love.
