Stories of Service

OFFF received several requests to assist families with temporary housing. The requests were for those who needed a temporary place to live while searching or waiting for permanent housing. It is hard to imagine a family concentrating on everyday life with the stress of not knowing where they are going to live. We are proud to provide this assistance while they were waiting for their new home.

A large fire ripped through an apartment building under construction on Capitol Way (downtown Olympia) in December 2021. The fire also affected several businesses and individuals next to the apartment building. The fire destroyed their businesses and their homes. Shortly after the fire, community groups rallied to support those that were displaced by the historic fire. Our foundation was one of the groups that donated over $2,600 to those affected. We are proud to be part of a community who gives so generously in times of need.

OFFF used donated funds to help with temporary housing and financial relief from the fire. This would not be possible without the community supporting our cause.
